Second Look at Wasteful Spending Act of 2009
The Second Look at Wasteful Spending Act of 2009, introduced by Senator Gregg (R) and cosponsored by Senator Lieberman (ID) would give the president the ability to send a ’special message’ to congress asking to rescind certain direct spending. There are fast track provisions in this bill. It looks like a solid bill though I don’t believe it has much of a chance of passing unless the American people get involved and contact their representatives.
